How to Decide Step One

So you've created your vision and now what?

One of the biggest roadblocks you'll have on this journey on the bridge to your vision is figuring out the first steps to take.

Maybe you've created a vision for what you want your business to look like, maybe it's the future-self vision and how you want you day to flow. Use my vision builder to get clear on that first.

When you have it, that vision so clear you can taste it, the paralyzing part is action.
In fact, you might have 100 steps on this journey to making that vision a reality so I wanna give you a little hack to ease the overwhelm you might be feeling, so you're not focusing on step 43 when you need to be on step one.

First, it's easy to get overwhelmed if your vision is too big. Really, there's no such thing as a vision too big but for the sake of this exercise, I want you to bite size it down!

Think two years. That's always been my sweet spot!

Lemme share the vision I created with you:

"I live in Encinitas, California, I just bought
my first home and it's got a 180 view of the Pacific
Ocean from most windows. I wake up with the sun,
nature's alarm clock is the sound of waves
crashing into the shore outside my home. Archie
and I slowly roll out of bed to make matcha and
open the doors so the breeze and smells can take
roll through the hallways. We sit out on my
balcony and listen to the waves as I read my one
chapter and write my one
page. I take a moment to close
my eyes and let my brain clear
out, expressing gratitude for
the environment I've created. I
get my workout clothes on and
we take an hour long walk
around the beach and through
the town, grabbing a green
juice before we head back to
the house to do some work.
Once we're back, I sit and
work for a couple hours, one
on one calls, checking in with
clients, writing, creating, it feels
like a beautiful flow I've spent
the last few years creating. I
pause for lunch and we enjoy
it out on the patio, watching the surfers catch
waves, ride them in, and fight their way back out. I
do another couple hours of work before we close
the computer and head out the door to the dog
beach. I watch Archie, living his best life, running
his heart out and going as fast as his little legs will
let him. Pure happiness. We load up and get home
to rinse him off and I head out to a yoga class. I've
prioritized getting out and into our new
community and have fallen in love with yoga. I do
an hour class every other afternoon to turn my
brain off and give my body some love. On the
opposite days, I head out to the stables to work
with and ride Joey. I get home & feed Archie his
dinner before heading out with him to one of our
favorite restaurants. I sneak little bites of chicken to
him under the table as people greet him while they
walk by. I smile, in love with this city and the people
that fill it. We walk back home and start our
evening wind-down routine: massaging Archie's legs
before I hop into the shower, then we read in bed
before falling asleep before 10 pm while the sound
of waves continue to crash, creating a meditative
state. Before I know it, the sun has peeked her head
back up to the East and we get to do it all over
again."

Now you can see how detailed I want you to get with it.

Don't let your ego or thinking talk you out of any of it, literally write whatever comes up, focusing on the details and how you feel.

The next step I want you to take is to go back and re-read it. Grab a highlighter, pen, or crayon, and start highlighting the things you can implement now in your current season, today.

Lemme show you what I mean:

Do you see what I did there?!

Everything I highlighted in red are things that I can start implementing now!

You've now got your vision.
You've now identified some action steps you can take to start building that bridge & enjoying your beautiful in between.

It's not going to be your exact vision that you're living out each day but throughout, you're going to get little bursts of energy by the activities you're implementing now.

Your subconscious is going to be energized, knowing what you're working towards.

After you've highlighted everything, pick one thing to start today.
One shift.
One action.
One new habit.

Once that thing becomes second nature, pick the next, incorporating it into the peaceful flow you've created.

You've most likely seen my daily flow on Instagram thinking - damn, that feels calm, peaceful.
My daily flow is a result of this exact exercise.
Thinking what can I do now to work towards that?

One of the biggest things I have to remind myself of is that there is no rush
Remember, that vision you created is a two year vision.

You've got time to create that morning flow.

You've got time to create that dream business.

You've got the time to start the hobbies or habits that light you up.

You've got the time.
There is no rush.

Take your time, creating the vision, identifying the aligned actions you can take now, and just start implementing.

Act the way you'd like to be and you'll soon be the way you act.
