Today’s Brain Waves

We were on our way to the airport this morning when MJ looked at me and asked if I ever listened to Gospel music. I turned to him, whipping my neck dramatically and responded, “Me?!” like did you skip over chapter one in my book?! 😆

He laughed and put on a song called “Close” by Marvin Sapp, as I sat there, smiling in my seat. I’d listen to anything he wanted me to. The singer started belting as the choir backed him up and I sat still, sipping my still-too-hot matcha.

I listened deeper…

I absorbed the words, perfectly spoken at the right time. I daydreamed, my mind in awe at how connected I felt to the words being sung.
